Summary:A projector using a laser source is provided to develop a small projector having a difficulty in a disposition space of an optical element because a design can be freely changed. A laser source(10) emits at least one color. An optical waveguide(30) receives light from the laser source, continuously reflects it from the interior, and outputs it to an external surface. An optical modulator(70) forms light outputted from the optical waveguide as an image. A projection lens(80) projects the image outputted from the optical modulator. The optical modulator includes one selected from among a liquid crystal display device, a LCOS(Liquid Crystal On Silicon), a DMD(Digital Micromirror Device). A beam shaper is provided between the optical waveguide and the optical modulator.
