Summary: | A memory system and an access control method for a dual port memory are provided to decrease performance degradation owing to synchronized overhead occurring when a second processor accesses data which a first processor writes in a shared memory area of the dual port memory, many times. A dual port memory(300) includes a first local memory area(311) accessed by a first processor(100), a second local memory area(313) accessed by a second processor(200), a shared local memory area(312) accessed by the first and second processors, and a semaphore controller(340) providing a shared memory area access state of the first and second processor to the first and second processor. The first processor writes data to the shared memory area by accessing the semaphore controller. The second processor copies the data stored in the shared memory area to the second local memory area by accessing the semaphore controller. The second processor includes a DMA(Direct Memory Access)(230) for copying the data requiring more than one access among the data which the first processor writes and stores in the shared memory area to the second local memory area. |
