An air tight cooker is provided to improve the reliability and enable the opening and closing operation precisely by opening and closing a through-hole via lifting an opening and closing element. An air tight cooker comprises a main body having a stepped surface at the periphery of the opened upper part, a lid(14), a through-hole(14a), and an opening/closing element(20). The lid opens an opening side of the main body, and has a sealing member for sustaining the air tightness of the main body to be contacted to the stepped surface. The through-hole is installed at a proper position of the lid. The opening and closing element consists of a column(22), a blocking element(24), and a separation prevention element(22a) at the lower end of the column. The column inserted into the through-hole is freely lifted along the through-hole. The blocking element opens and closes the through-hole from the outside of the lid at the upper end of the column. The main body is adjusted into atmospheric pressure by opening the through-hole through lifting of the opening and closing element in a closed condition with the raised pressure inside the main body or the artificial operation. The main body also is maintained in the air tightness by closing the through-hole.
