Summary:A spacer and an electron emission display device having the same are provided to prevent distortion of an electron beam by laminating two or more layers formed with materials having different kinds of resistivity. A spacer(20) for electron emission display device is installed between a first and second substrates(10,12) for composing a vacuum receptacle in order to support compressive force applied to the vacuum receptacle. The spacer has arbitrary height along a thickness direction of the first and second substrates and is composed of a high resistant material. The spacer is composed of two or more layers in a height direction. The adjacent layers are formed of materials having different kinds of resistivity. A lower layer(22) is positioned toward the first substrate. An upper layer(24) is positioned toward the second substrate. The upper and lower layers are formed of materials having different kinds of resistivity. The upper and lower layers are integrated structures.
