A system and a method for opening an online tournament game, a ranking determination system, and the method thereof are provided to keep users playing online go-stop game or poker game continuously by opening the game periodically while determining ranking of the users according to a predetermined rule. A game providing server(120) provides a main game to current gamers(10-30) for a plurality of game times divided according to time order for a predetermined period. A gamer appointing server(130) selects the gamers included in predetermined high ranking among the current gamers and appoints the selected gamers as the gamer for the next game time. A first ranking determining server(140) assigns basic points to each current gamer, calculates the points of each gamer by adding or subtracting the points depending on win/loss of the main game, and determines the ranking by comparing the points of each current gamer. A second ranking determining server(150) calculates money by adding or subtracting the money obtained or lost depending on the win/loss of the game from a predetermined amount of gamer money, and determines the ranking by comparing the calculated money of each current gamer.
