Summary:A network game system in which game machines can share the positions and postures of objects associated with the game machines while reducing an increase of the traffic in the communication network. A game machine (10) comprises first basic position selecting means for selecting one of the basic positions present in a virtual space, first basic position transmitting means for transmitting the selected basic position to the other game machine, first basic position receiving means for receiving the basic positions transmitted from the first basic position transmitting means of the other game machines (10), second basic position selecting means for selecting one of the received basic positions, own object position determining means for determining the position of the object associated with the game machine (10) on the basis of the basic position selected by the first basic position selecting means, and own object posture determining means for determining the posture of the object associated with the game machine (10) on the basis of the basic position selected by the second basic position selecting means.
