Summary:A computer system capable of controlling power with a keyboard is provided to enable a user to operate a computer main frame easily by controlling the power with the keyboard arranged to a place close to the user. A keyboard(200) includes a rechargeable unit(230) charged by receiving the power applied from an external device and a signal generator(260) generating a signal for controlling the power applied to the computer main frame(300). A signal receiver(330) receives the signal generated from the signal generator of the keyboard. The computer main frame includes a power supply unit(340) applying or cutting off the power according to the signal received by the signal receiver. The keyboard includes a DC converter(240) converting voltage applied from the external device into a voltage level needed for charging the rechargeable unit, a holding unit(270) blocking the operation of the signal generator, and a display unit(280) displaying operation of the signal generator or the holding unit.
