A system and a method for transmitting an additional service through a DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) network are provided to transmit information supply files for the additional service in a lump through the broadcasting network. A service supply server(100) includes an information supply service server(120) and an additional service server(140). A broadcasting network server(200) includes a DMB image server(210) for transmitting DMB image signals and an additional data server(220) for transmitting additional data and transmitting data files for information supply services and additional services. A mobile terminal(300), which includes a DMB receiving unit(310), a scheduler(320), a memory(340), a mobile platform UI(User Interface)(350), and a wireless communication module(360), accesses the additional service server of the service supply server to use additional services according to connection information generated by storing and activating DMB images and data files from the broadcasting network server.
