Summary:An apparatus and a method for managing transmission circuit information are provided to manage transmission circuits included in a time slot in a transmission carrier so as to operate and manage transmission path information of the transmission carrier and configuration information of transmission circuits included in the transmission carrier systematically and improve the accuracy of information and processing efficiency. An apparatus for managing information on transmission circuits included in a transmission network includes an input unit(10) for outputting a transmission circuit management request inputted by a manager or a user, a first database(30) for managing the details of a transmission carrier, which includes a transmission carrier included in a time slot, transmission hierarchy, a circuit name, a transmission carrier section name and a project name, a second database(40) for storing transmission circuit management request information, and a third database(50) for storing drawings of transmission carriers in a table by types, managing the drawings, and storing the drawing of a new carrier when the new carrier is introduced. The apparatus further includes a transmission circuit management unit(20) for referring to the first and second databases for corresponding information according to a request detected by the input unit, providing the information and correcting the first and second databases, and a display unit(60) for displaying information on the transmission carrier and hierarchy of each time slot searched by the transmission circuit management unit, the name of a circuit included in the transmission network and an investment project name.
