Summary:An optical apparatus and a method for inspecting a reel-to-reel material are provided to prevent an image distortion due to a shaking of the camera by fixing the camera. An optical apparatus comprises a fixed camera(31), a fixing apparatus(10) and a roller(1). The fixing apparatus is disposed at a lower part of the camera and includes a mount that has a flat upper surface having a through-hole. The roller is installed between the camera and the fixing apparatus such that the roller moves at front/rear sides of an upper surface of the fixing apparatus upward/downward by a predetermined distance. A pressure reducing device is installed at a lower part of the fixing apparatus.
