BIAXIALLY ORIENTED POLYESTER FILM AND METAL-LIKE LAMINATED FILMS
A biaxially oriented polyester film comprising at least three polyester resin layers (A1/B/A2), wherein the main component constituting the A layers is polyethylene terephthalate, the film has a melting point of 246 to 270°C, and the stresses of the film in the machine and transverse directions at 1...

Summary: | A biaxially oriented polyester film comprising at least three polyester resin layers (A1/B/A2), wherein the main component constituting the A layers is polyethylene terephthalate, the film has a melting point of 246 to 270°C, and the stresses of the film in the machine and transverse directions at 100% elongation at 150°C and 200°C satisfy the relationships: 2 < (F100MD + F100TD) < 100 and 1 < F100TD < 60. The invention provides films which exhibit such dimensional stability to heat as to withstand uniform metal vapor deposition and little change in surface appearance between before and after thermoforming and which can be easily formed along a mold with a low forming stress. |
