An ice making device for a refrigerator is provided to prevent the lowering of storage capacity of a freezer compartment, and to minimize the phenomenon that ice is impregnated with the smell of other foods stored in the freezer compartment. An ice making device for a refrigerator comprises an ice maker(161) installed to the upper part of an installation space(151s) formed on the backside of a freezer compartment door(131) opening and closing a freezer compartment of the refrigerator and making ice to be dispensed to the outside by a dispenser(131a), an ice bank(181) installed to the lower part of the installation space and an ice maker cover(171) separable to store the ice made in the ice maker and to transfer the stored ice to the dispenser and provided with an ice releasing device to transfer the ice to the dispenser and an ice crushing device to crush the ice transferred to the dispenser according to a user's choice, a driving connector(154) installed to a motor shaft(Ma) located in the installation space to rotate on the motor shaft by a motor which supplies driving force for the operation of the ice releasing device and the ice crushing device and provided with a pair of cylindrical interlocking projections(154a) projected from the backside of the door, and an interlocking connector(189) installed to an installation groove(188) of the ice bank to rotate on a rotary shaft(A) together with the driving connector to transmit the driving force of the motor to the ice releasing device and the ice crushing device and provided with a pair of interlocking ribs(189a) to engage with the interlocking projections and to rotate the interlocking connector according to the rotation of the driving connector.
