Summary:A data structure, and an apparatus and a method for receiving broadcast are provided to perform a conditional access function by using a standardized appliance number capable of individually identifying an appliance. A data structure includes an invariable identification information section and a variable characteristic information section. The invariable identification information includes a standardized manufacturing company identification information field and a standardized identification information field of a multimedia broadcast receiving device. The invariable identification information section includes at least one of an appliance type identification information field and an appliance model identification information field.
