Summary:An apparatus and a method for transmitting radio data are provided to transmit data seamlessly by transmitting data through one of subchannels of the first channel in a multi-channel environment, confirming the radio states of the other subchannels of the first channel through the second channel at the same time as the transmission of the data, and transmitting the data through the optimum subchannel. An apparatus for transmitting radio data comprises the first PHY(PHYsical) unit(450), the second PHY unit(460), and a MAC(Media Access Control) unit(440). The first PHY unit(450) transmits radio signals for data frames through a specific channel among plural channels contained in a specific frequency band. The second PHY unit(460) confirms the network states of the other channels except for the specific channel among the plural channels while the radio signals are being transmitted. Based on a result from the second PHY unit(460), the MAC unit(440) changes channels to transmit the radio signals.
