A method and system for providing contents by using a flash memory card are provided to reduce restriction on memory capacity by enabling a user to select/download the contents through a mobile terminal connected to a flash memory card server through a wired/wireless network, store the downloaded contents to the flash memory card, and reproduce the contents in the mobile terminal equipped with the flash memory card. A portal site provider(310) provides a download portal site for enabling the user to select desired contents. A content authenticator(320) encrypts contents corresponding to content selection information received from the mobile terminal through the download portal site and manages a decryption key for decrypting the encrypted contents. A flash memory card authenticator(330) authenticates whether a storage device for storing the encrypted contents and the decryption key is the authenticated flash memory card or not. A content register(340) registers the contents to be provided to the mobile terminal by interworking with a CP(Content Provider) server. A member manager(350) manages member information including terminal ID information, terminal storage device information, and terminal user information.
