Summary:A method for manufacturing elastic paving chips by using waste urethane as main material is provided to reduce the use amount of ground calcium carbonate and precipitated calcium carbonate and to prevent damage of forests and environmental disruption by using waste ABS(Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) and waste pebax. In a method for manufacturing elastic paving chips by using waste urethane as main material, recyclable raw materials of waste polyurethane, waste ABS, and waste pebax are divided according to the color and hardness and foreign materials are removed. The waste polyurethane with the moisture content of 3~6wt.% is crushed in the size of 60~120mm(±10mm) enough to pour the waste polyurethane into an extruder. The waste ABS and waste pebax are crushed in the size of 40~50mm(±10mm) smaller than the waste polyurethane. The total amount of a pigment, a decolorizing agent, a softener, ground calcium carbonate, precipitated calcium carbonate, waste ABS, and waste pebax is restricted at 39wt.% of the total weight percent of the waste polyurethane. And then, a regenerated color waste polyurethane sheet is produced by mixing, heating, melting, extruding, stamping, and cooling all materials. The elastic paving chips are produced by crushing the regenerated color waste polyurethane sheet in the size of 3~5mm.
