Summary: | A manufacturing method of a color filter substrate is provided to omit a separate overcoat layer for planarization of the color filter substrate, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost. A black matrix(24) with a lattice shape is formed on a base substrate and defines plural pixel members. A color filter pattern is printed on the pixel member by a concave plate printing manner. A common electrode(70) is formed on the base substrate having the printed color filter pattern. At the color filter pattern printing process, the color filter pattern is filled on the print plate with concave patterns. A blanket is rotated on the print plate so that the color filter pattern is transferred to the surface of the blanket. Thereafter, the blanket is rotated on the base substrate so that the color filter pattern is transferred to the pixel member. The color filter pattern has the first surface contacting the concave pattern and the second surface exposed at the surface of the print plate. |
