A system for reporting emergency with a mobile terminal and the mobile terminal equipped with an emergency reporting function are provided to determine the emergency by using usage or power-off time of the mobile terminal, and report the emergency to an emergency center by using the mobile terminal. An operator outputs an operation signal by operation of a user. A memory stores a phone number for sending a message in the emergency. A controller outputs a control signal for outputting the phone number to the outside by receiving an external signal, and determines registration of the phone number by receiving an acknowledgement signal from the outside in response to the output control signal. When an event including power-on/off is generated, the controller informs the outside of the event. A relay server(20) outputs the signal including power state/location information of the mobile terminal(10) if the mobile terminal is registered. If the power state/location information is received, an emergency server(30) outputs a request signal for transmitting an emergency message when an event signal is not received from the mobile terminal for a predetermined time.
