Summary:A contents verification method for preventing illegal copying of mobile contents is provided to enable a mobile communication terminal to verify contents before the contents are executed and to execute the contents only when the contents are verified, thus an illegal distribution path of the contents is blocked. When an execution command of mobile contents having contents information which contains an authentication code generated through particular authentication code encoding algorithm is inputted to a mobile communication terminal by a contents download server, an authentication code is generated through the encoding algorithm by using ID information of the mobile contents and ID information of the terminal recorded within the terminal(S101,S102). The terminal compares the generated authentication code value with an authentication code value of the mobile contents information to decide whether the values are identical(S103-S106). If so, the corresponding contents are executed(S107). If not, execution of the contents is interrupted.
