An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) is provided to reduce the width of incised patterns formed at a pixel electrode and a common electrode and to make the incised patterns intersect. Plural TFT(Thin Film Transistor)s are formed on the first substrate. A pixel electrode(170) is connected with the TFT and includes an incised pattern(175) formed toward a direction. The second substrate corresponds to the first substrate. A common electrode(240) is formed on the second substrate and includes the second incised pattern crossed with the first incised pattern. A liquid crystal material is located between the first and second substrates. The width of the incised pattern is below 5 micrometer. The first and second incised patterns are crossed at right angles. The incision direction of the incised pattern is different from the extension direction of the gate and data line connected with the TFT.
