Summary:An MIP(Mobile IP(Internet Protocol)) connection availability notify method of a mobile communication terminal is provided to perceive whether an MIP connection is available in standby mode, so as to notify a terminal user of the perceived results, thereby reducing connection time since the user can attempt an MIP call from the beginning. A terminal receives a paging channel message(S10), and confirms a protocol version value included in the received paging channel message(S12), then decides whether the protocol version value is more than 6(S14). If so, the terminal confirms a self protocol version value(S16), and decides whether the self protocol version value is more than 6 capable of performing a packet data service(S18). If so, the terminal decides whether an agent advertisement message is received(S20). If so, the terminal decides that it is available to receive an MIP service in the current area(S22), and enables a terminal user to recognize that an MIP connection is available(S24).
