Summary: | An apparatus and a method for evaluating the length of a phased array ultrasonic wave defect are provided to accurately evaluate the length of a minute defect by using the electronic steering characteristics of a phased array ultrasonic wave. An apparatus for evaluating the length of a phased array ultrasonic wave defect includes a phased array ultrasonic wave measurement section(10) and a phased array evaluation processing section(20). The phased array ultrasonic wave measurement section transmits a phased array ultrasonic wave signal to a measured material and receives the transmitted phased array ultrasonic wave signal. The phased array evaluation processing section receives the phased array ultrasonic wave signal received by the phased array ultrasonic wave measurement section to evaluate the length of the defect in the interior of the material. |
