Summary: | The invention relates to the field of vaccine compositions for the effective treatment or prevention of fungal, viral, protozoan or bacterial (preferable intracellular) infections and cancer. The technical objective of the invention is to obtain adjuvants for use in prophylactic or therapeutic vaccines using bacterial proteoliposomes and derivatives thereof, which, when applied, together with antigens that are inserted in, conjugated to or mixed with same, induce a cytotoxic T-lymphocyte response to the aforementioned antigen. In this way the invention can be used to obtain multiple formulations of proteoliposome or the derivatives thereof with heterologous antigens, which, when applied by parenteral or mucosal (preferably nasal) routes, induce cytotoxic responses. Said novel use of proteoliposomes and the derivatives thereof and the resulting antigen formulations can be used to produce novel vaccines in the pharmaceutical industry. |
