Summary:Provided are a current collector, which is adjustable to the swelling or shrinkage of a solid polymer membrane in a solid polymer type fuel cell, and hardly exfoliates from an electrolyte layer, and a fuel cell using the same. A fuel cell comprises an electrolyte layer, electrodes placed on both main surfaces of the electrolyte layer, and current collectors for collecting electricity from the electrodes. The current collector is transformable according to the transformation of the electrolyte layer. The current collector has a first fiber and a second fiber, wherein the elastic modulus of the first fiber is different from the elastic modulus of the second fiber.
