Summary:A cross torque preventing device of a tire pressure monitoring system and a control method thereof are provided to reduce defective rate by the wireless style, to remove a need of additional checking steps, and to reduce the production/maintenance cost by reducing claim of customers. A cross torque preventing device of a tire pressure monitoring system comprises an antenna(100) installed at one side of a tire and formed with first, second, third, and fourth antennas(100A,100B,100C,100D) correspondingly to a TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) sensor measuring pneumatic pressure of the tire to receive signals outputted from the TPMS sensor; an amplifier(110) formed with first, second, third, and fourth amplifiers(110A,110B,110C,110D) correspondingly to the first, second, third, and fourth antennas to amplify and output higher harmony waves to a set level; a frequency/voltage converter(120) formed with first, second, third, and fourth frequency/voltage converters(120A,120B,120C,120D) correspondingly to the first, second, third, and fourth amplifier to covert and output frequency into voltage signals; a control unit(130) gradually comparing voltage signals allowed from the first, second, third, and fourth frequency/voltage converters and extracting signals having the highest frequency to detect each tire; and a display unit(140) installed at a predetermined position of a cluster or a mirror to output information of air pressure of the tire according to control signals from the control unit.
