Summary:A DMB terminal having a function for a slide show and a method for realizing the slide show by using same are provided to enable a still image detector to detect an I-frame from multimedia broadcasting data, received through a broadcasting signal receiving module, according to a command signal transmitted from a key input unit, thereby providing a user with a new multimedia broadcasting data edit tool. A DMB(Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) terminal having a function for a slide show comprises the followings: a broadcasting signal receiving module for receiving a digital broadcasting signal; a key input unit for receiving a command signal for the slide show from a user; a still image detector(22) for detecting an I-frame from multimedia broadcasting data, received through the broadcasting signal receiving module, according to the command signal transmitted from the key input unit; a decoder(23) for decoding the detected I-frame; and a display for displaying the decoded I-frame.
