Summary:An apparatus and a method for managing an object in a distributed environment system are provided to directly call a remote object without performing socket communication when the remote object exists within the same process in a distributed environment while supporting location transparency, thereby providing optimum performance without code modification even when arrangement of the remote object according to a scale of an applied system is changed. An apparatus for managing an object in a distributed environment system comprises the followings: an RMIpool(Remote Method Invocation pool)(120) for storing an internal object; an RMIregistry(Remote Method Invocation registry)(130) for storing a remote object; a callee(100) who stores an object to be called in the RMIpool(120) and stores object information, stored in the RMIpool(120), in the RMIregistry(130); and a caller(110) who searches a corresponding object in the RMIpool(120) when a call for an arbitrary object is required and internally calls the object when the corresponding object exists in the RMIpool(120) and searches the corresponding object in the RMIregistry(130) when the corresponding object does not exist in the RMIpool(120), and calls the object through socket communication.
