Summary: | An inexpensive highly practicable method of regenerating a spent filter fabric, in which a regenerated filter fabric retains the same pressure loss and collection capability characteristics as those of a new one and with the use thereof in no way limited, can be used at high temperature in chemically very poor environment; and an inexpensive regenerated filter fabric obtained by the method. In particular, there is provided a method (1) of regenerating a filter fabric, comprising at least a fibrillation operation of fibrillating a spent filter fabric and a nonwoven fabric forming operation of converting the fibers resulting from the fibrillation operation to a nonwoven fabric. In this method, (2) a dust removing operation of removing any dust adhering to the fibers resulting from the fibrillation operation may be performed prior to the above nonwoven fabric forming operation. Further, in this method of regenerating a filter fabric, it is preferred from the viewpoint of efficient regeneration that (3) the fibrillation operation be performed by passage through an autofibrillation machine. |
