Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger that can inexpensively prevent local electric corrosion due to condensation and ensure sufficient deodorization performance by slight light while keeping appreciable adhesion and hydrophilic property of a hydrophilic layer. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger comprises copper pipes for conducting a refrigerant therein, and aluminum fins 5a arranged in a multiple array with the copper pipes passed therethrough and provided with the hydrophilic layer 12 on an aluminum material 10. As to the aluminum fins 5b, a nanoparticle deodorant antibacterial material 14 supporting zinc on titanium oxide is added for denser distribution on the surface side than on the aluminum material side in the hydrophilic layer 12.
