Summary:A plated polyester resin article composed of a polyester resin molded article and, formed on the surface thereof, a metal plating layer, characterized in that the polyester resin article has been crosslinked by the irradiation of an ionizing radiation, the plating layer has an arithmetic average roughness of 1 mum or less, and the adhesion strength between the polyester resin article and the metal plating layer is 2 MPa or higher; and a method for producing the plated polyester resin article, which comprises a step of subjecting a resin composition comprising a polyester resin capable of being crosslinked by the irradiation of an ionizing radiation and, dispersed therein in a proportion of 5 to 20 vol %, an inorganic filler having an average particle diameter of 1 to 10 mum to melt molding into a polyester resin molded article. 본 발명은, 폴리에스테르수지 성형품의 표면에 도금층이 형성된 도금 폴리에스테르수지 성형품에 관한 것이다. 폴리에스테르수지 성형품이 전리방사선의 조사에 의해 가교된 것이며, 도금층의 표면의 산술평균 거칠기 Ra가 1㎛이하이고, 폴리에스테르수지 성형품과 도금층과의 사이의 밀착강도가 2㎫이상이다. 전리방사선의 조사에 의해 가교 가능한 폴리에스테르수지에 평균입경이 1~10㎛의 무기필러를 5~20체적%의 비율로 분산한 수지조성물을 폴리에스테르수지 성형품에 용융 성형하는 공정을 포함하는 도금 폴리에스테르수지 성형품의 제조방법을 특징으로 한 것이다.
