Summary:An active antenna, the electrical length of which can be varied with the use of an inductor coil and which has an amplification circuit, is provided. The active antenna comprises a passive antenna module, which receives a signal within a predetermined frequency band and adjusts an electrical length thereof; and an amplification circuit, which amplifies a signal output from the passive antenna module at an antenna port and transmits the amplified signal to a digital broadcast receiver. The active antenna obtains a high signal-to-noise ratio by amplifying the signal at the antenna port in a digital broadcast receiver, which receives data-in-national television system committee (dNTSC).
