Summary: | A computer system is provided to supply a video BIOS(basic input/output system) ROM in order to be commonly used regardless of a video chip or a video memory type. A video signal processor(17) is connected with a system bus of a computer. A setting information storage(15) stores identity information of a video chip(11) and a video memory(13). The video chip(11) and the video memory(13) receive image information from a computer, process the received image information, and display the processed image information on a display unit(30). A selecting information storage(21) stores identity information for a plurality of combinations of at least one video chip and at least on video memory. A routine storage(23) stores BIOS routine corresponding to the identity information. A controller(25) searches the corresponding identity information from the selecting information storage(21), and performs desired BIOS routine corresponding to the searched identity information. |
