Summary:PURPOSE: A timer setting/photographing method of a camera phone is provided to define a standby state entering time when executing a photographing process by using a timer function, and to convert into a photograph mode according to the defined time, then to photograph an image, thereby reducing power consumption of a battery. CONSTITUTION: When a timer function is selected, a system arrays timer setup photograph menus in accordance with a moving image photograph mode on a display window. If a user selects a desired menu, the system sets a corresponding time on a timer. The system decides whether the set time exceeds a predetermined time. If so, the system temporarily stops a photographing process of a camera, and converts into a standby state to wait until a certain time elapses. If the certain time elapses, the system returns the photographing process, photographs an image, and stores the image in a memory, then converts into the standby state.
