Summary:PURPOSE: A reaction force control method of an electronic steering system is provided to prevent expected situation generated by the voltage change of a battery caused by load of a vehicle and sudden steering operation of a driver by compensating counter electromotive force of a reaction motor. CONSTITUTION: A reaction force control method of an electronic steering system is composed of steps for calculating counter electromotive force by using a parameter of a reaction motor in an observer; feeding back to a target order value(Va) for driving the reaction motor to compensate the counter electromotive force by the observer; subtracting the feedback counter electromotive force from the target order value; computing current for driving the reaction motor with a subtracted value of a current controller and the parameter of the reaction motor; feeding back and compensating reaction motor torque(Te) and disturbance torque(TL) detected by a torque sensor to the current output through the current controller; and driving the reaction motor by the compensated current.
