PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method for repairing the LCD are provided to connect a pixel electrode to the previous gate line or the current gate line such that the pixel electrode displays black irrespective of the operation of a TFT(Thin Film Transistor) to prevent dot defect. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes a plurality of gate lines(31) and data lines(32) arranged in an intersecting manner to define pixel regions, and a plurality of pixel electrodes(33) respectively formed in the pixel regions and superposed on neighboring gate lines. The LCD further includes a plurality of TFTs respectively formed at intersections of the gate lines and data lines to apply a data signal to the pixel electrodes in response to a driving signal of each gate line, and a connector(50) for electrically connecting a pixel electrode corresponding to a TFT having a defect to a gate line on which the pixel electrode is superposed.
