Summary:PURPOSE: A description language for an extensible compiler and a tools infrastructure to extend configuration dependent extensible software is provided to extend a software program having configuration dependent extensible classes. CONSTITUTION: Multiple definitions for extensions(610) of core class definitions(620) are stored as ODL(Object Description Language) files. An ODL preprocessor(630) receives the files respectively corresponding to the core class definitions and class extensible definitions, and interprets the files into a source code(640) from an ODL format. A source code generated by the ODL preprocessor includes header files typically stored to the class definitions. A source code compiler(650) fit to the language of the source code output from the ODL preprocessor is provided to compile the source code.
