Summary:PURPOSE: A semiconductor nano-crystal and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to obtain improved stability, uniform size and shape, and high quantum efficiency from the semiconductor nano-crystal itself by performing a chemical wet-synthesizing process using 12 and 16 group compounds. CONSTITUTION: A 12 group metal or a 12 group metal precursor is mixed with a dispersing agent and a solvent. A 12 group metal precursor solution is obtained from the resultant material by using heating. A 16 group element precursor solution is obtained by dissolving a 16 group element in a predetermined solvent. A crystal is grown by reacting the 12 group metal precursor solution to the 16 group element precursor solution.
