Summary:PURPOSE: A safety controller and a system using the same are provided to improve system scalability by relating a plurality of safety controller each other easily using a connection output. CONSTITUTION: A safety controller controls the driving of a mechanical facility by giving a safe output to a safe output control target, on the ground of an input from an input equipment. A plurality of safe output units(31,32) give semiconductor outputs as the safe output. A connection output unit gives connection output to another safety controller. And a control unit controls the safe output and the connection output according to a program, on the ground of the input from the input equipment.
