Summary:PURPOSE: A method for separating (γ-HyMeLeu4)-cyclosporin A from the cultured broth of Sebekia benihana is provided, thereby improving separation selectivity of (γ-HyMeLeu4)-cyclosporin A which is useful as hair restorer. CONSTITUTION: The method for separating (γ-HyMeLeu4)-cyclosporin A from the cultured broth of Sebekia benihana comprises the steps of: culturing Sebekia benihana(KCTC 9173) in a medium containing 1% yeast extract, 0.5% soybean powder, 0.7% glucose, 1% soluble starch and 0.005% CaCO3 at 30 deg. C for 36 hours; adding 500 mg/l of cyclosporin A dissolved in DMSO(dimethyl sulfoxide) into the cultured medium of Sebekia benihana(KCTC 9173) to convert cyclosporin A into (γ-HyMeLeu4)-cyclosporin A; culturing the mixture at 30 deg. C for 36 hours; and adsorbing (γ-HyMeLeu4)-cyclosporin A from the cultured medium of Sebekia benihana(KCTC 9173) using a hydrophobic resin such as Amberlite XAD-16 or Amberlite XAD-1180.
