Summary:PURPOSE: A data transmission processing method of an AP(Access Point) which supports power management of a wireless LAN terminal and the AP performing the data transmission processing method are provided to abandon broadcast/multicast signals during 4 of 5 DTIM(Delivery Traffic Indication Message) intervals, and to transmit broadcast/multicast signals only, which are received within the rest 1 DTIM interval, so that an STA(Station) can maintain a sleep time during the 4 DTIM intervals. CONSTITUTION: A receiver(11) receives various data from the Ethernet or a random STA(20). A memory(12) stores a random one of the data received through the receiver(11). A beacon generator(14) generates beacon frames to each STA(20). TIMs and DTIMs are included in the beacon frames. The STAs(20) receive the beacon frames from an AP(10) at every listen interval. A transmitter(15) transmits the stored data of the memory(12) or beacons generated from the beacon generator(14) to the STAs(20). A data processor(13) sets one interval consisting of the first section including M DTIM intervals and the second section including N DTIM intervals, abandons data received during the first DTIM section while buffering data received during the second DTIM section, and transmits the buffered data to the STAs(20).
