PURPOSE: A flat display device is provided to prevent contraction of pixels caused due to the gas generated from a flattening film, by improving the structure of the flattening film formed at the edge of a first electrode. CONSTITUTION: A flat display device comprises a substrate(81); a plurality of first electrodes(61) formed on the substrate; an insulation film(86) formed on the substrate; a second electrode(62) opposed to the first electrode and insulated from the first electrode; and an organic light emitting film(63) interposed between the first electrode and the second electrode such that the organic light emitting film emits light by the first and second electrodes. A region(87) with the insulation film and an open region(88) without the insulation film are formed between the first electrodes or at outsides of the first electrodes.
