Summary: | PURPOSE: Provided is a proton conductive composite membrane having satisfactory mechanical strength at relatively high operating temperature of fuel cell and substantially improved proton conductivity as well as several properties required for a proton conductive electrolytic membrane. CONSTITUTION: The proton conductive composite membrane comprises (a) a porous polymer matrix, in which a proton donating group is attached onto a surface of a pore; and (b) a proton accepting fluid inserted in the pore of the porous polymer matrix. Particularly, the proton donating group is an acidic group selected from the group consisting of sulfonic acid group, phosphoric acid group and carboxylic acid group, and the proton accepting fluid is selected from the group consisting of a compound having ether group, ketone group, amino group and ammonium group, and a mixture thereof. The proton conductive composite membrane may further comprise an oxidative radical scavenger in the pore of the porous polymer matrix. |
