PURPOSE: A shift system of a vehicle is provided to operate the system even for a fault by real-time communication through a fault tolerant unit and to effectively cope with a fail by forming each fault tolerant unit with fail-silent units. CONSTITUTION: A shift system of a vehicle is composed of a transmission(11) for forming predetermined transmission ratio by receiving driving force from an engine and having an inhibitor switch(17) driven correspondently to a selected shift range; a driver interface module(21) for generating a target shift range signal corresponding to the shift range selected by a driver; and an inhibitor switch actuating module(23) coupled to the driver interface module through a real time communication bus to actuate the inhibitor switch based on a present position of the inhibitor switch and the target shift range signal received from the driver interface module.
