Summary:PURPOSE: Autonomic power loss recovery for a multi-cluster storage subsystem using an improved storage controller is provided to protect changed data in case that all clusters fail to recover the changed data by making an inhibition area of each cluster copied to a mounted disk of each cluster on power failure, or couple the clusters in a pair in order to support with each other. CONSTITUTION: On a normal operation mode, the first changed data of the first cluster is stored to the inhibition area in a memory of the second cluster and the second changed data of the second cluster is stored to the inhibition area in the memory of the first cluster(608). On a power failed mode, the first changed data is stored to the first storage device(612). The second changed data is stored to the second storage device(614). The first changed data is moved to the second storage device from the inhibition area of the second cluster(616). The second changed data is moved to the first storage device from the inhibition area of the first cluster(618).
