Summary:PURPOSE: A method for checking an alarm/schedule for reducing a load of a terminal is provided to reduce a load of a terminal by comparing an activated alarm/schedule in a check list of a buffer storing alarm/schedule information corresponding to a specific date with current time and sounding an alarm. CONSTITUTION: A terminal receives alarm/schedule information from a user and stores it in a memory(401,402). The terminal extracts alarm/schedule information according to alarm/schedule information extraction conditions(403,404). A check list is generated in a buffer for storing the extracted alarm/schedule information(405). Schedule information, whose time has been re-calculated according to the extracted alarm information and an alarm option, is stored in the check list of the buffer and activated(406-408). When time of the activated alarm/schedule information is identical to a current time, an alarm/schedule signal is generated and the corresponding alarm/schedule information is changed to be inactive(409-412).
