Summary:PURPOSE: Provided are a solid adhesive having improved initial adhesion while keeping good coatability and a liquid material composition for producing such solid adhesive. CONSTITUTION: The solid adhesive comprises a water-soluble adhesive polymer and a component derived from an aqueous polymer emulsion, wherein a solid content of the aqueous polymer emulsion is 0.01 to 30 % by mass with respect to the total solid content of water-soluble adhesive polymer and aqueous polymer emulsion. In the solid adhesive, the water-soluble adhesive polymer comprises a polymer prepared by polymerizing a monomer containing N-vinyllactam as an essential component. The solid adhesive is prepared from the liquid material composition comprising a water-soluble adhesive polymer and a component derived from an aqueous polymer emulsion.
