Summary:PURPOSE: A method for producing fried chicken containing selenium is provided, which fried chicken has a large quantity of selenium, so that the fried chicken can have health function of selenium such as antioxidative activity, improvement of heart and lung function, decomposition of waste matters, prevention of hepatic sclerosis, immunity improvement, sexual function improvement, and cancer prevention. CONSTITUTION: The method for producing fried chicken containing selenium comprises the steps of: (1) culturing plants containing selenium in the form of inorganic selenium of Na2SO3 or Na2SO4 or selenium-enzyme complex; (2) washing, cutting, drying and pulverizing the selenium containing plants; (3) adding the selenium containing plant or powder thereof into the raw materials for frying chicken; (4) adding water into the raw materials for frying chicken and kneading the mixture; and (5) covering the chicken with the kneading for fried chicken and frying the kneading covered chicken in oil of 180 deg. C for 12 minutes, wherein the fried chicken contains 1 to 100 microgram of selenium.
