Summary:PURPOSE: To provide a hydrophobic coating for oxidized surface and a method for producing the coating, wherein the hydrophobic coating can be produced by reacting active species with the oxidized surface to form a new exposed surface, and a nucleophile of an ordinary class that is the same as the active species substitutes the species and forms a densely packed layer to prevent additional reaction. CONSTITUTION: The method for coating oxidized surface comprises a step of reacting active species with a general formula of AXn or AR¬1 mXn with the oxidized surface to produce a new exposed surface having a bond between A and the oxidized surface, and a reactive group; and a step of reacting a nucleophile molecule with a general formula of DR¬2 with the reactive group to form a bond between the nucleophile molecule and A, wherein A may be any metal, semimetal, transition metal or ceramic; X may be any active group; DR¬2 is a class that is the same as X; R¬1 includes an organic substituent that does not react with the active group X; R¬2 includes an organic substituent that does not react with the active group X, R¬2 forms a coating if the general formula is AXn, or R¬1 and R¬2 form a coating if the general formula is AR¬1 mXn.
