PURPOSE: An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) and a method for assembling the LCD are provided to minimize the LCD, improve productivity and reduce manufacturing costs. CONSTITUTION: An LCD includes an LCD module(100) for displaying pictures, a front case(200), a rear case(300), a combining member(400), peripheral components(500), and a main cover(600). The front case and rear case are combined with each other having the LCD module placed between them and have a plurality of holes formed at the inner sides. The combining member fixes the LCD module to the holes of the front case of rear case. The peripheral components include an A/D board and an inverter for operating the LCD module. The peripheral components are mounted in the main cover. The main cover is fixed to the combining member behind the LCD module.
