Summary:PURPOSE: A reclining device of a seat for a vehicle and a reclining method are provided to enable fine control of an angle and to make the controlled state become a firmly fixed state. CONSTITUTION: A reclining device of a seat for a vehicle is arranged between connection parts(11,21) to which a cushion frame(10) and a seat back frame(20) are connected. The reclining device comprises a central fixed shaft penetrating the connection parts and an operating lever(40) rotating at a predetermined angle in a state of being supported on the central fixed shaft. The reclining device comprises an installation-uneven part(22) of a circular shape arranged to the connection part of the seat back frame; at least one working pin(41) arranged to the operating lever; an expansion cam(50) installed to the inner center of the installation-uneven part; expansion blocks(60) installed to the outer periphery of the operating lever; and circular friction balls(80) of a roller or ball shape installed in more than two rows between the expansion blocks and the inside of the installation-uneven parts. The working pin is projected toward the installation-uneven part of the seat back frame through the connection part of the cushion frame. The expansion cam has at least two cam-curved surfaces(51) to the outer puerperal surface. The expansion blocks are divided in more than two in a close contact state with the cam-curved surfaces of the expansion cam.
